The future for online businesses still appears to be very bright however with some riders. Governments are catching up with online business entrepreneurs and ensuring they get a slice of the pie (via tax) as well as implementing a raft of privacy legislations. Can one future proof one’s online business? Absolutely! However, whilst we don’t live with crystal balls we can only future proof to a varying degree. Still the way to future proof your online business is to implement sound business principles; be honest and forthright; avoid hyping your product or service and then failing to deliver. In other words despite the fact that the business is online does not mean you toss out sound business principles and also totally think through and plan including developing a financial management plan for your business.

Why go with the E-Commerce marketplace slightly more expensive than Amazon?

Why go with the hotel booking platform offering slightly less variety than Booking.com?

In internet business, pretty much everyone can get access to any business, product or service.

I believe that in the future it will be even more difficult to stand out and have success with your own business.

Being creative and creating something that separates your business from the competition in one way or another will be crucial.

Years ago it may have been enough to simply have a website.

Nowadays you need a great website, awesome services, a good idea behind it and much more.

I am agreeing with the idea about that the technology is the future of business. The technology is an excellent way to use a quick product with high capability of changing, that’s to say every 3 or 6 months you must look for something different. By the way, the technological platforms are the second way to share this business.

Another example of this is the education, as you know with the social media and the very different platforms share knowledge has become easier. You can see Udemy or Coursera, where the people use a technological platform as a way to post their knowledge and get money through this. This is a powerful tool that, in the last years, have increased the online business.
